General Holiday Information

Our holidays are organised in the Tirol region of Austria, which is situated in what is known as middle Europe. Austria and the Tirol are known worldwide as a tourist destination and it is certainly very beautiful. Skiing and winter sports are the best known activities but the summer also affords opportunities for all sorts of activities and sports.

Austria is a member of the Euro zone and the currency is therefore Euros. The official language is German but English is very widely spoken. Instruction for activities/winter sports is given in both languages. Road tax is covered in the car hire rental agreement but a Vignette is required to use the motorways in Austria. This is payable locally but please ask us before you buy – you may not need one.

Mountains and lakes provide a breathtaking backdrop to all of these activities and sports and along with a world recognised standard of quality in food and hospitality Tirol offers a clean, safe environment to the traveller at any time of year.

We aim to offer a quality holiday with excellent service at an affordable price and therefore operate a fair pricing policy. What this means to the guest is we will not compromise on any aspect of your holiday. We only use suppliers (hotels/car hire/transfer services/activity guides) who we have checked out personally and we continually monitor every aspect of the holidays we offer. All local taxes (relating to accommodation) are included in the price of your holiday.

Each holiday is protected in accordance with ‘The Package Travel, Package Tours Regulations 1992’ and a certificate of cover is issued for each passenger and forwarded at the time of booking. This fulfils the UK & EU law in connection with financial failure of our company so each and every one of our guests is covered. We also maintain, in order to operate, professional indemnity insurance and regularly check our accommodation and suppliers to comply with the conditions required by law. We do not operate holidays with an air travel component and therefore do not require an ATOL and are not members of ABTA as this would prove a more expensive way of protecting your holiday.

Once you have chosen your accommodation we confirm this for you and then we ask you to let us know a minimum of 21 days before your arrival which summer activities/winter sports you have chosen. We then confirm these with our suppliers to ensure that you get the activities you want. With over 10 years in the Tirol we know that things need to be pre-booked to avoid disappointment.

We look forward to welcoming you to Austria and the Tirol for your activity holiday and if there is anything we can help with please let us know, either before you come or during your stay, and we’ll do our very best to make sure things run smoothly.
